Exporting Rays to CAD

It is possible to export FRED geometry to IGES and STEP formats from selecting File / Export... It is also possible to export any currently drawn ray trajectories (represented as independent curves in the exported CAD file). The ray trajectory data is created in CAD as connected line segments, where each segment represents the ray trajectory between ray intersections.

Note however that not all CAD programs will render the connected line segments by default, for example, in SolidWorks the option to import "Free Curves and Points as Sketch" must be chosen in order to see the exported rays in the file imported to SolidWorks.
